EVP, Security and Compliance Officer

Job Description:

The International Pickleball Federation (IPF) is searching for a motivated and experienced security and compliance officer (SCO) to ensure that our business processes and transactions conform with all relevant legal and internal guidelines. The duties of the SCO will include reviewing management policies, monitoring operations, investigating potential violations, and reporting them as appropriate. The ideal candidate will have a professional degree, a history of professional work which reflects experience in conducting detailed investigations and audits, reporting issues to senior management and providing effective action plans, and knowledge of relevant legal statutes, regulations, and internal guidelines. This position will become a paid position when moved to International Pickleball Investment Corporation (IPI).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and review Federation policies and procedures in compliance with relevant international and United States federal statutes and regulations.
• Implement and manage an effective legal and regulatory compliance program.
• Assess Federation procedures, operations, practices, and documents to identify possible compliance risks.
• Conduct investigations on suspected compliance violations and recommend specific audits as necessary.
• Advise senior management on the Federation’s compliance with laws and policies through detailed reports.
• Create and manage effective action plans responding to assessment discoveries and compliance violations.
• Ensure management and all employees are educated on current regulations and relevant statutes.

Qualifications:

• M.A. or J.D. degree in law, finance, or business management.
• 10 – 15 years of experience conducting criminal, administrative, and background investigations.
• 10 -15 years of experience providing legal counsel to senior company/government agency leadership.
• Experience performing financial and operational audits.
• Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working and living internationally.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
