EVP, Youth & Mentorship


Job Description:

The International Pickleball Federation is searching for an individual to fill the position who will be responsible for managing the youth sports and mentorship program by providing leadership to the administration and supervision of a comprehensive youth sports programs. This position is a voluntary position, and all work is conducted virtually.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership, strategic planning, fiscal management, risk management, and assessment of the delivery of the Federations Youth Sports Programs.
  • Responsible for the leadership oversight, development, implementation, management, reporting, and evaluation of program budget including but not limited to revenue, payroll, and operation.
  • Collaborates in sports and youth programming throughout the world to include being the primary liaison with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates an Intramural Sports Program in coordination with the AAU.
  • Responsible for the leadership, coordination, and oversight of IPF sanctioned intramural leagues and events, including activity implementation, officials training, and participant conduct.
  • Provides short and long-range planning and fiscal management related to youth sports programs administration.
  • Manages and maintains budget in accordance with IPF guidelines and policies to ensure prudent stewardship of resources.
  • Facilitates and maintains emergency policies and procedures for IPF sanctioned youth sports programs.
  • In collaboration with the EVP, Marketing and Public Relations advertises and promotes IPF sanctioned intramural and youth sports programs internationally.
  • Responsible for monitoring, compiling, organizing, and analyzing youth sports program data collection and reporting, including but not limited to, learning outcomes, assessment plans, and annual reports.
  • Accountable for the identification, development, application, and evaluation of guidelines, policies, and procedures related to club sports, intramural sports, and youth program operations in accordance with IPF tournament certification standards and guidelines.
  • Regularly reviews and updates intramural and youth sports program handbooks and manuals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Commitment to youth development and ability to motivate and work effectively with youth.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet work assignments while managing multiple tasks and deadlines to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices to enhance youth players experiences.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, sound judgement, conflict resolution and motivational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing professional and excellent customer service to diverse user groups.
  • Team-oriented and self-directed individual.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of international trends and best practices in collegiate recreation club sports, intramural sports, and youth program management.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management and policy development.
  • Demonstrated experience working with budgets.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
