Pan American Games Liaison

Job Description:

The International Pickleball Federation is searching for an individual to fill the position who will be responsible for coordinating and gaining acceptance of pickleball into the 2023 Pan American Games. The 2023 Pan American Games will be held in Santiago, Chile from 20 October to 5 November 2023. This position is a voluntary position, and all work is conducted virtually.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Advise the Board of Directors on all matters pertaining to the 2023 Pan American Games and application for the sport of pickleball to be admitted into the games.
• Requires intimate knowledge of operations of the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO).

Qualifications:

• Must be a member of a country that is part of the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work.
• Proficiency in IT applications (Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail systems) and a basic understanding of HTML (Web updates, email creation), basic knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Suite a plus.
• Three or more years’ experience working with an international relations program at a nonprofit or profit company, or an academic setting.
• A self-starter with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently is required with experience in project management a plus.
• Must maintain the highest level of organization, creativity, and professionalism in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills are required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
